Episode 196: Owen Ramsingh’s ICE Detention

After months of detention, Owen Ramsingh sits down with Colin to share his story from his new home, The Neatherlands. Owen details the various inhumane facilities and cruel processes he was subjected to at the hands of ICE that our tax dollars are funding. He tells of inadequate food, untrained agents, crammed living conditions, and physical violence. Owen states that the security company employees took bets on detainee suicides and criticizes their general behavior. His observations are especially heavy with his extensive experience as a security guard for over a decade. He talks about the ways he helped others in detention as well as finding out about all the support he received from his wife and community.
